The 2017-2019 Strategic Plan of the Gauteng Technical College calls for fostering partnerships, connections, and communication between the students and the local, national, and international academic and business communities, contributing to the economic development of the region, and attaining additional non-state revenue for the GTC to support student scholarships and faculty development.

How we got started
Gauteng Technical College’s long-standing place among leaders in higher education since it was chartered in 2000 and opened its doors for students in 2001 as the Gauteng’s public college. Situated in Braamfontein, Johannesburg has earned a reputation as one of the best Colleges for national Diplomas. We pride ourself on a strong, diverse student body, academic opportunities not found anywhere else, and a value unmatched by any public college.
